St. Andrew's evenings are a fun and colorful holiday that gave young boys and girls the opportunity to get to know each other better, chat and have fun after hard work.
Researchers note that evening parties were held in villages even in the first half of the 20th century. And, as folklorists testify, this folk tradition is now being revived.
This year, our guests had the opportunity to attend Poltava-style evening parties. The chef of the restaurant, originally from Poltava, demonstrated traditional Poltava cuisine with dumplings, varenyki with peas and beans, pork in dough cooked in the oven. Non-traditional Galician borscht with duck and dumplings, veal bone with paste, beans with onion and garlic. After the wine tasting, the guests enjoyed the colorful atmosphere and traditional music.
